Plant Doctor sent to help young gardeners

Budding gardeners from a Newhaven have received a boost to their school garden.

David Fitton MBE, aka the Plant Doctor, visited Denton Primary School last week and delivered not only much-needed supplies, such as compost, but also shared his green-fingered knowledge. Something of a horticultural legend, David is a regular face at Paradise Park garden centre in Newhaven which generously donated the items to Penguin Class in Year 3 at the school.

Teacher Naomi Savage is pictured with the class and some of the goodies they received from the Avis Road store. "It is always a pleasure to see the smiles on children's faces as they discover gardening", explained David. "this is the next generation of eco-warriors to whom we entrust our planet."
